Pictoplasma

In 2017 I submitted a portrait to a Pictoplasma’s call for entries and won a fellowship that allowed me to attend the Academy and the Festival in Berlin. Here you’ll find all the pieces I’ve made related to Pictoplasma, from the portrait I made for the call for entries to the piece I made for the Alumni exhibition.

Illustration commissioned by Pictoplasma for a 2018 call for entries called secret sidekick. Image 2 and 3 were previous explorations on the same style. Photos 1 and 3 were took by Rodrigo Hernández in Mexico City, photo 2 was took by me in Berlin.

This was the piece I made for the Alumni All Star Group Show. It was a mobile made of piñatas. It was exhibited at the Neurotitan Gallery in Berlin.

In 2020, almost at the beginning of the pandemic Pictoplasma launched a challenge that consisted on taking a picture using a mask, once again I decided to make a piñata. My entry was featured on Pictoplasma’s 2021 Face Value magazine. Photos by Rodrigo Hernández.

This was my entry for the Face-Off challenge. It was a lovely surprise coming to Berlin and seeing the poster with my portrait all around the city. Last pic was took by Jeremy Cohen.
